Margaret & Kristoph perform their original arrangements of Celtic music from the British Isles and the Medieval and Renaissance melodies of the European courts, castles, and countrysides. Featuring tight vocal and instrumental harmonies, their entrancing sound is built on the interweaving of soaring vocals with the lyrical music of the Celtic harp, octave mandolin, 6 and 12-string guitars, flute, and recorders. Margaret Davis and Kristoph Klover have delighted audiences since 1990 -- sharing the magic of other times and places with fans of traditional music the world over. Through their travels and studies, Margaret & Kristoph have put together an engaging collection of traditional Celtic, Medieval, and Renaissance music ranging from haunting harp-based ballads and troubadour love songs to danceable jigs and reels. Margaret brings her love and academic knowledge of the language and poetry of the Medieval troubadours to their performance of this delightful music. The lyrics, including some in Gaelic, Medieval French, and Provencal, speak of love and longing, quests and revels, magic and transformation in a language that transports and enchants the listener. Margaret & Kristoph have performed for over 300 weddings as well as public performances at venues as diverse as Confortean in Basingstoke, England, San Francisco's Herbst Theatre, Grace Cathedral, and City Hall, the Walnut Creek and Mill Valley Art & Wine Festivals, concert series and pubs.
